About WSC

Our Story

Wall Street Cares is a not-for-profit 501 c 3 organization founded in 2003 by a group of individuals with a common goal to help those who couldn’t help themselves. Through our various events during the year, it is the groups’ goal to help ease the burden on children and their parents who have lost spouses unexpectedly. Contributions are tax deductible and will directly benefit a specific charity which is identified before each event.

From four individuals playing golf on Good Friday, the groundwork for what was to become Wall Street Cares was formed. After the tragic events of September 11th, 2001, that idea was made a reality when our group, operating as a “charitable club” managed to raise $22,000 for one of our Wall Street partners, the family of Robert Scandole, who was taken from us that day. In our early years, our goal was to help the families on 9/11 victims through the dedicated work of the board, to give to the children some stability in an unstable world. As the years have progressed, we have adjusted our focus to anyone who needs our help. Through the boards’ tireless efforts, WSC has helped many families, other charitable organizations and events…wherever a difference can be made. Our hope is to continue each year to hold events to raise the awareness and success of our organization, and in turn, help more individuals who need it. Through its previous events, the organization, with your help, has raised over $1.8 million dollars.

Our current board comprises of the Executive board and Board of Trustees. All members are sworn to uphold the integrity and good will associated with Wall Street Cares, and will strive to help as many charities as possible throughout the years to come.
